Sekolah Tinggi Olahraga dan Kesehatan (STOK) Bina Guna Medan bekerjasama dengan Dinas Pendidikan Kota Binjai melaksanakan talent scouting atau pencarian dan pemanduan bakat atlet SD-SMP di GOR Binjai dan Dinas Pemuda dan Olahraga Serta Koni Binjai menggelar Tes fisik Atlet.
Talent scouting dipantau langsung Ketua STOK Bina Guna Medan Liliana Puspa Sari, Kadis Pendidikan Sri Ulina Ginting, Kadispora Iwan Setiawan dan pengurus KONI Binjai.
“Siswa yang mengikuti talent scouting ini berjumlah 100 orang, tes yang dilakukan yakni loncat tegak, lempar bola basket, lari kelincahan, lari cepat 40 meter dan lari multi tahap,” Kemudian atlet yang mengikuti Tes Fisik ini adalah sebanayak 60 atlet dari cor taekwondo, karate, petanque, gulat dan atletik.
Kadis Pendidikan Binjai Sri Ulina Ginting mengatakan bersyukur dengan adanya kegiatan tes talent scouting yang dilakukan STOK Bina Guna Medan bekerjasama dengan Dinas Pendidikan Kota Binjai.
“Ini kegiatan sangat positif dan luar biasa, di sini terlihat bagaimana pembentukan karakter anak-anak, Karena kegiatan ini juga minta dan bakat anak diasah sehingga nanti kita dapat mengetahui kemana minat dan bakat anak-anak kita,” ucapnya.
Kadis Dispora Binjai mengatakan Dengan adanya kegiatan ini terlihat minat dan bakat apa yang ada pada anak, tentunya dari kegiatan ini kita bisa mengetauinya.
