Massage merupakan sebuah keahlian yang dapat juga dimanfaatkan untuk mengembangkan kewirausahaan. Oleh karena massage dapat digunakan sebagai alat terapi baik untuk pencegahan, kesehatan, dan penyembuhan penyakit. Selain itu, wirausaha dalam bentuk pengembangan terapi dengan menggunakan massage tidak memerlukan modal yang terlalu besar, melainkan keterampilan yang baik. Berdasarkan kenyataan di atas, tim Dosen Sekolah Tinggi Olahraga dan kesehatan Bina Guna membuat kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat diantaranya Bapak Wakil Ketua 1 Boby Helmi, M.Pd, Kaprodi PJKR Rinaldi Aditya, M.Pd, Dosen Massage STOK Bina Guna Ibu Ika Endah Puspita Sari, M.Pd dan bapak Eka Abdurrahman, M.Pd serta Mahasiswa dan Alumni dari STOK Bina Guna yang merasa perlu untuk memberikan keterampilan massage bagi masyarakat Kota Binjai.

Kegaitan PkM Sport Massage ini juga menarik perhatian dari Walikota Binjai yaitu Bapak Drs. H. Amir Hamzah,M.AP beliau mengatakan kegaitan ini sangat positif dan dapat dikembangkan untuk ranah cabang olahraga dan ranah terapi bagi masyarakat kota binjai.

Karena kegiatan ini sangat menarik dan sangat ramai dikunjungi oleh masyarakat kemudian pos PkM Sport Massage ini juga di hampiri oleh bapak Kapolda Binjai AKBP Ferio Sano Ginting, S.I.K, MH dan beliau langsung mencoba untuk merasakan Sport Massage dari Tim Dosen dan Mahasiswa STOK Bina Guna yang sudah mengikuri Pelatihan Sport Massage yang bersertifikat Nasional.

Beliau juga mengatakan kegiatan positif ini sangat diperlukan di Car Free Day ini untuk mengedukasi masyarakat Binjai dan memperkenalkan bahwasanya Sport Massage penting untuk masyarakat yang berolahraga disekitar lapangan Binjai ini.

Serta dalam kegiatan ini juga mendapat dukungan dari bapak Kadispora Binjai Iwan Setiawan, SE., M.Pd yang berpesan tetap buat kegiatan ini setiap minggunya dan bisa dikembangkan dengan membuat pelatihan pada setiap cabor olahraga dibinjai untuk menuju PON 2024.
