Gubernur Sumatera Utara Edy Rahmayadi menyerahkan piagam penghargaan kepada 50 orang insan olahraga dalam rangka memperingati Hari Olahraga Nasional (Haornas) yang berlangsung di lapangan Wisma Atlet Sumut Jalan Pancing, Minggu (19/9/2021).

Piagam penghargaan diberikan kepada insan olahraga, yakni, olahragawan berprestasi, olahragawan disabilitas, olahragawan atlet pelajar, pelatih berprestasi. Kemudian, dosen olahraga, instruktur olahraga, psikolog, pembina olahraga dan jurnalis olahraga.

Salah satu penerima penghargaan adalah dr Hj Liliana Puspa Sari SPd, MKes sebagai pembina olahraga, mengaku, jika ia tak menyangka mendapat piagam penghargaan Haornas 2021 Sumut ini.

“Terima kasih atas piagam penghargaan ini, terima kasih ada kepercayaan kepada saya yang dinilai sebagai pembina olahraga. Ini diluar ekspektasi saya,” ucap wanita yang akrab disapa Lili itu.

Katanya, piagam penghargaan ini atas rekomendasi NPC Sumut yang menilainya layak untuk mendapatkan piagam penghargaan Haornas 2021 tersebut. NPC Sumut sendiri pun memiliki alasan yang kuat. Yakni, wanita yang akrab disapa Lili itu dinilai berhasil memimpin dan mengembangkan olahraga Petanque yang dipimpinnya.

Tak hanya itu, Lili juga konsen dalam memberikan pendidikan bagi para atlet di kampus yang dipimpinnya, STOK Bina Guna Medan. Beasiswa kepada para atlet pun diberikan pihaknya sebagai bentuk dukungan dan semangat untuk atlet agar terus mendukang prestasi.

“Memang kami, STOK Bina Guna fokus mendukung para atlet. Tak hanya berprestasi dalam bidang olahraga, namun juga berprestasi dalam bidang pendidikan. Dalam hal ini, kami mendukung penuh prestasi olahraga dan juga pendidikan atlet,” jelasnya.
